Get Inspired Childminder Event – Brighton and Hove

Last Saturday 19th October we were incredibly honoured to be invited to attend and to present at the first ever Get Inspired Childminder event for childminders in the Brighton and Hove area.

The event was organised by Zoe Cox and Annette Barnard of Brighton and Hove County Council and it was a brilliant day packed with networking opportunities, inspiring speakers and a market place and we were truly honoured to attend and network and share ideas with the childminders of Brighton and Hove.

An absolute honour for us to be asked to speak alongside such amazing other speakers, including Dave Benson-Phillips, Jacqui Burke and Neil Griffiths to name but a few of the inspiring presentations we were lucky enough to listen to on the day!

We were asked to present on our experience of being a successful home-based childcare provision and to provide ideas and examples of how we have developed as a business and how we plan to continue to build the business and raise the profile of home-based childcare as career and childcare option.

Though we are not natural public speakers by any stretch of the imagination, we hope that we were coherent enough in getting our message across and providing some useful information/ideas to the childminders of Brighton and Hove.

Since the event, we have received positive feedback from not only the event organisers, but other childminders have also reached out to comment on the presentation and it’s been wonderful to make links with other colleagues in this way.

We feel incredibly lucky to be considered for speaking at events such as this and it is our pleasure and honour to champion home-based childcare in any way we can.

A fantastic first event for the home-based childcare community in Brighton and Hove and one that we feel incredibly proud to have been a part of.

A huge thank you to Zoe Cox and Annette Barnard for the opportunity and we look forward to working with you again soon!
